About The Author

Sonia HayesSonia Hayes, a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, started her career in 1985, which evolved into professional modeling, acting and freelance writing. She completed her primary and secondary education within the Milwaukee public school system. Her post secondary education was acquired through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which culminated in a B.A. in Mass Communications with minors in French and Political Science. She also possesses an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from National University.

Ms. Hayes has spent the past few years freelance copyediting, publishing articles, and preparing women and young adult fiction manuscripts. She believes, ". . . if parents, writers and teachers can persuade the youth to read, there is no doubt our future and their tomorrow will be brighter." As works of fiction can and should improve lives, she anxiously awaits the opportunity to contribute to this endeavor through her writing. Ms. Hayes spends her time speaking to the youth about life issues and promoting literacy. She is a volunteer for the teen pregnancy prevention campaign and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.
